* On Thursday, June 5, Officer Nordrum from the St. Louis Park Police Department will be visiting with the first graders. She will be speaking about summer safety and bike safety.

*Friday, June 6 is the last day of school! This is a half day and the children will be dismissed at 11:30 p.m.

Dear Parents,

As we draw this 2007-2008 school year to a close, I reflect on the memories and good times we had as a first grade class. Many of those memories included you, the parents of these wonderful children. I want to thank all of you for your warm welcome, generosity, dedication and encouragement throughout this past year. It will be difficult to go; to leave all of this behind, but I will always remember you and the children in my prayers. God has something else planned for me, bigger than I could ever imagine. I just have to keep praying and trusting that one day I will know what it is.

I have loved watching your children grow, both academically and spiritually. They have such a desire to learn more. They have come so far this year and I am confident that they will excel next year in second grade. Please continue to review their math facts and read, read, read with them and to them this summer!!!!
